Mysterious links

Some posts today have had an apparently random words in blue as a link to an Apple ipod advertisement in Czech (I am based in the Czech Republic). If I return to the post later, the word is no longer a link. I suspect that someone has managed to put a minor bug in my computer, but I thought I'd just check to see if this was happening to anyone else anywhere.

I'll try when it happens again - it's happening much less often now. The main problem may be that the link won't appear when you look at the post - it's often disappeared if I return to a post.

I haven't seen this either, so it may be a virus on your machine, but if you see it again, please post the thread link here.

As I read this at 11.29 my time I noticed that 'now', the last word of the first sentence in my previous post (#5) was, and still is, a link to the apple site.

It's not on mine and there's nothing on the site that would do it- probably time to start scanning your machine. :(

I've had similar things happen, now that I think about it, when I had a rather benign advertsing thingy - for example, the word "teacher" would have a double green underline and when you hovered over it, you'd see a site advertising teacher training. It never happened on this site - in fact, it often happened on the www.m-w.com site, so I hadn't thought about it. A quick sweep of Spybot and I was home free.
