Font size in signature line

I finally got around to creating a signature line for my posts but I haven't been able to change the font size. It appears in the same font and the same size as my actual post and because the line between them is quite faint, it's difficult to separate my signature from my post. One poster has already confused my signature with advice to him/her.

Is there a way to do this? I'm sure some of the signatures are in smaller fonts.

I don't know how I did it, but my signature is in a smaller font, so it can be done.
