You can always PM a moderator to ask if we will re-open the thread for you. If we receive such a request from an established member, we will re-open for a useful comment, especially if we have banned the troll. One or two of us are not particularly competent with the moderator keyboard (
). Rather than risk accidentally banning an innocent bystander or deleting useful posts, I close the thread to stop the troll wasting anybody's time, and leave the banning to more competent moderators.
Context is important. Please provide enough for us to be able to deal effectively with your question.
Your thread title should include all or part of the word/phrase being discussed.
