It was there until 10 seconds ago when I went in and told it to remove the hyperlink. Interestingly, I've just noticed that in my previous post in this thread, it has turned the word eBay into a hyperlink.

It's not just me it's happening to now. I noticed the same issue with another thread earlier but I forgot to copy the link, but I've just found this one: http://www.usingenglish.com/forum/as...ing-isn-t.html
In the first post, the word "scuffle" has become a hyperlink to a Russian site. I don't think the OP did it.

And another. The words "yellow cab" are a hyperlink in the first post here: http://www.usingenglish.com/forum/as...unge-mean.html and take you to Amazon to a page selling "Yellow Cab boots!"
Please tell me I'm not the only one seeing these hyperlinks!

Oh bum! I guess it's just me. What a weird glitch!

It's a virus or infection. Do a boot scan and see if that fixes it.
Yup, like I said, I've had it before. I get a double-underline in green (I htink it was green) and it was almost always to Amazon. Spybot is your friend. Free and good.
I'm not a teacher, but I write for a living. Please don't ask me about 2nd conditionals, but I'm a safe bet for what reads well in (American) English.
Nothing shows up on any scan for malware, adware, bots etc. I don't get the green double underline although I have seen that in the past I think. This is just a bog-standard hyperlink - the words appear in blue and are clickable. They link to a whole variety of sites - Wikipedia, Amazon, eBay etc.
Ah well, doesn't matter. I have no intention of clicking on them and if no-one else can see them, that's fine.

I had an infection a few years ago and used HijackThis and the people at this forum: Computer Help - Malwarebytes Forum
