I suspect you have a little gremlin. I've had that happen to me. Not the most malicious of spyware, but a quick scan should find it and get rid of it.
In a post I made in the "Mam vs ms" thread, something rather strange happened. I typed the words "aunts and uncles" as part of my post because it referred to something the previous poster had said. I just noticed that those three words had changed to blue and were now a hyperlink. I clicked on it and it took me to the Amazon website, to a book called "Aunts and Uncles". I certainly didn't make it a hyperlink when I wrote the post. I've edited the post now and removed the link but I wondered if this is a one-off weird event, or a proper glitch.
Thanks.

I'm not a teacher, but I write for a living. Please don't ask me about 2nd conditionals, but I'm a safe bet for what reads well in (American) English.
I've checked the thread and it has no link for me- it sounds like malware or a virus. I'd get scanning. Try doing a boot scan.
Try using a Linux based operating system. You know it makes sense.![]()
As I said, I edited the post to get rid of the link and as far as I know, it hasn't happened since. I regularly scan for adware and malware (even though I'm on a Mac!) and nothing found.

I used that then moved to Kubuntu, which I really liked, but have had some trouble with the latest, so may be going back to Ubuntu, though am looking around a bit first.
The strange auto-link thing is back! If you look at my first thread here, you will see that the words "spirit level" have become a link. When you click on it, it takes you to eBay, to a page of spirit levels for sale!
I've checked all my settings, I have no malware or adware running, my machine is clean and yet it's happened again.
I've left the link in there for now, just in case you all thought I was making it up.![]()
