Traceroute looks fine (very good infact) so I am a little puzzled as to why they would be seeing performance issues.

Will do, Red - but as I said, things aren't too bad for me. You need a tracert from someone with a really pathological case.

On weekdays, the problem seems to occur between the hours of 4 p.m. and 11 p.m. or midnight (Central European Time). Weekends seem to be different.

Since everything's working fine at the moment, I'm going to wait for the "problem time" to arrive again and then I'll do a "tracert" for you.

It's now just after 11 p.m. (CET) and it seems that I might finally be able to post something now.

I "lost" the forum between 4 and 5 p.m. CET and have been trying ever since to get it back. Sometimes nothing at all loads. Sometimes I get a partial page and then everything just stops. No other website was a problem during this time. Only the UsingEnglish site didn't work.

I knew nothing about "traceroutes" before today, but I've now done lots of them since early this morning. The only thing I've noticed is that values for numbers 5-8 have been in the 60s and 70s when the site was loading without problem.
