I think that on her father's side (if not her mother's side) they came from England, although it was quite a while ago. (Her maiden name was something like Birmingham.)

That's a good idea linking back to the original discussions, but the thing is the thread will become old over time. And it might turn the link into a dead link.

Links to discussions in the Ask a Teacher folder are valid for 1 year. All other links are permanent. ;-)

Linking back to the original thread takes longer time to load and potential views may shy away before it pops up :P. If you don't mind that I will proceed to link to it instead of just to the forum :)
