Default queries by other members and replies

Hi Casiopea

At present, I'm receiving replies to my posts through my email. How do I go about getting queries from other members and replies to their queries.

I would appreciate it very much if you could let me know how to go about doing so?

Best wishes.

Use the Subscribe option in Thread Tools (I think).

Hi Tdol

I've done as instructed by you, but I've yet to receive queries from other members and the replies.

Could you please find out what I should do?

Thank you very much.

Regards

Can I ask what you mean by "receive queries from other members and the replies"?

After I've posted a query, I'll receive through my email, notification that my query has been replied. After that, I open the email to read the reply.

However, I would like to receive through my email, notification about queries from other members and the replies to their queries.

I hope my explanation is okay, otherwise please do get back to me so that I can explain further.

Thanks in advance.

If you go to your Subscriptions page from your control panel you can manage all of your subscribed discussion threads. You can modify the subscription type on any or all of them to be one of the following:
  • No email notification
  • Instant email notification
  • Daily email notification
  • Weekly email notification

You can also set your Default Thread Subscription Mode from your profile options page.

Hope that helps!

Hi Red5

I've taken a look, but which should I select if I want to receive queries from other members with the replies from other members?

I'm at a loss.

Thanks in advance.

If you choose 'Instant email', you'll get an email every time someone replies in that thread.

Hi Tidol

I set the default thread subscription mode to 'Instant email notification' as shown below when I joined the forum.

Default Thread Subscription Mode

When you post a new thread, or reply to a topic, you can choose to automatically add that thread to your list of subscribed threads, with the option to receive email notification of new replies to that thread.

However, I've not, since I joined the forum, received queries from other members and replies to their queries via my email. I've only received replies to my queries.

I wonder what else I should do.

Thank you so much for helping me all the time.

Best wishes.
