Later edit:
In my reply, I have capitalised all 'I's, my initial, and your name Tdol.
I note that even the line [quote=tdol;493479] removes the capitalisation.

I had to disable a feature of the forum that prevents users from SHOUTING BY POSTING POSTS WITH TITLES IN ALL-CAPS. We'll see if it has a negative impact on user posts.

The reason staff were unable to replicate the "errors" was because the SHOUTING plugin was not being applied to staff - I trust them to post nicely, you see

The italicised style is applied to a quote to distinguish it from normal post text. In fact, writing within the quote box is technically a misuse of the quote feature as your additional text is not part of the original quote.

Interesting, but I can't see why it was happening to just a few of us.
