I am appliying for the Celta course and I need some help with this task
HELPING LEARNERS WITH MEANING. Helping students with meaning requires
careful thinking and planning, especially for inexperienced teachers. For each pair of sentences below, firstly state what the difference in meaning is, secondly state what method you would use in class to help students understand this difference. Think about different options like: using visuals, giving examples, creating a context or scenario, mime, real objects, definitions etc
2. a) to intervene
b) to interfere
The difference in meaning is.........
To help students understand this difference I would.
thanks

The idea behind the pre-CELTA task is not to test your knowledge of English language teaching. If you knew everything then there would be no point in taking the CELTA!
I think the idea is more to see whether you can work your way around the question, do some research on your own and put together some kind of decent answer off your own bat.
