Using second conditional in writing, thanks!
Hi teachers of English,
When elaborating on ideas using second conditional in writing, are students free to use other tenses or they have to use "would +" all the way through? Feel free to ask if I haven't made myself clear on this and apologies for that. Many thanks.
Kind regards,

I am not sure what you mean by other 'tenses'; you can certainly use other modals:
If I won the lottery I would go to China and Japan, and I might go to Thailand. If I thought of other interesting places, I could afford to go anywhere in the world.
Context is important. Please provide enough for us to be able to deal effectively with your question.
