    Post Question on statistical calculation

    Hello,
    I'm new on this forum.
    I'm analysing a corpus for college and I need to calculate how many borrowings there are in my corpus. I need to express it like this: "Number of borrowings per thousand words"
    Please, could you tell me what this calculation is called? or maybe just tell me how I should calculate it?
    My corpus has 7621 words and the total number of borrowings is 764...

    I will really appreciate any contribution you couls make to help me understand this
