| I'm not sure of their accuracy, but one looks at the concentration of words, which seems a fairer principle, and the other at word length. Here are the actual formulae: http://www.usingenglish.com/profiles...es/000083.html I'm not sure they measure readability, but they do give clues as to what is going on in the text once you start using them and start to see patterns and changes. |
