theme/message of the text
Hello!
Could somebody explain to me what the difference between the theme of the text and the message of the text is?
Thanks a lot!

Re: theme/message of the text
A theme is the subject, for instance cooking, football, politics etc.
The message is the objective that the writer is trying to portray. It could be for instance, if the theme is football, their view on the 'offside'rule.
