Hi! I'm trying to find out what is the pattern of this sentence.
"The researchers consider the topic irrelevant"
I think it is S+V+OD+ ADJETIVE. But the adjetive makes it confusing.
I don't know if it is Monotransitive or what.
Can somebody help me?

If the structure is S+V+O+ADj
So Verb here must be Linking verb
I would say that the verb "consider" has two complements; a direct object and a second complement which is predicated of the direct object. At a semantic level the object of the verb is the proposition "(that) the topic is irrelevant". But the grammatical structure breaks it up into two constituents.Quote:

So not monotransitive. I think I have also seen the expression "complex transitive" for them, but would have to check that.
And here's the pattern (a bit different to the one from the linked text):
S-P-Od-Co, where S stands for the Subject; P for the Predicator; Od for the Direct Object; Co for the Object Complement.
