    Dear teachers,

    Would you be kind enough to tell me your opinion concerning the following sentences?

    1.She proved to be no match for me.
    2.I was no match for him.
    3.She was more than my match in ability.
    4.He was matched against formidable opponent.
    5.No one can match him in speed and agility.
    6.No one can match him in skating.
    7.He has met his match.
    8.She wants to match this candlestick with a similar one.
    9.By God, Madam, if the siren comes here she will meet her match.
    10.She was wearing a brown dress with hat and gloves to match.

    1.She proved to be no match for me. She is not found to be my equal.

    2.I was no match for him. He is much more powerful and cleverer than me.

    3.She was more than my match in ability She is more intelligent and effective than me.
    .
    4.He was matched against formidable opponent. He was asked to compete with a difficult and powerful opponent.
    5.No one can match him in speed and agility. He is the man, he may be old but there is a lot of racing still left in his legs.
    6.No one can match him in skating. No one can beat him in the game of skating.

    7.He has met his match. An opponent who is much stronger and powerful than him.
    8.She wants to match this candlestick with a similar one To find another candlestick which looks the same or similar.
    9.By God, Madam, if the siren comes here she will meet her match. Here Siren means a seductive woman who will meet a person strong enough to resist her seduction.
    10.She was wearing a brown dress with hat and gloves to match. The three things closely agree with each other in look.
    11.Your suit and tie match. Both things look good and attractive to-gather.
