    sentence structure rules

    Hi everyone...

I just want to ask something. Please explain to me the structure of this sentence:
I would have to take a nap just to get me through the day.

I have learned that it should be would have + past participle of the verb, but i can't figure out the structure of the sentence above..

    Thank you in advance..

    Re: sentence structure rules

"would" here means the past tense of "will" and as far as I know it is an auxiliary verb in this case.
