    "Do you have a car?" "Have you a car?"

    Hello.
    Say please. Is a difference in understanding by natives these phrases?

    "Do you have a car?"
    "Have you a car?"

    Hello and welcome. They both mean exactly the same; 'have you a car?' is a bit dated/formal however.

    Right. Have you a car is so dated it's no longer even idiomatic, except in song, in poetry and in EU Brussels-speak.
