    Smile filler words

"Never, during all the years that I knew him, did I hear him play so well."
In the above sentence, is there a filler word?
I know that filler words mean the words people say like 'uhmm'.. while they are thinking.
I wonder if there is an unnecessary word in the above sentence.

    Thanks for reading.
