    Options:
    (a) Statement 1 is correct

    (b) statement 2 is correct

    (c) statements 1and 2 both are correct

    (d) statements 1 and 2 both are wrong

    Hello,

    the correct answer is the 'a' option.
    You have a conjunction, which connects the two subjects 'he and 'I', in conclusion we have to use the plural form 'are'.
