    Request for explanation

Request for sentense below explanation below:
Should there be a defect with a version of Microsoft windows for which no defect fixing is done anymore, can I pay for a fix to be implemented on my request?

I cannot see what "for which no defect fixing is done anymore" works for.

I do appreciate all previous help for all question I asked. They are very helpful for me.

What do you mean by "works for"?

If the defect isn't worth fixing, and hence no longer done/fixed/corrected, is it possible, then, to pay to have it fixed?

I would guess that 'defect-fixing' in this context is something that is done automatically when Windows does an automatic update to your computer.
If you are running Windows 3.1 or 95, then these operating systems are probably not automatically updated, that is, they are "versions of Microsoft Windows for which no defect fixing is done any more". The sentence means, "If I'm running Windows 95 (...) can I pay to get any defects fixed?"
