ae in Greek-derived words is /i/ Aesop /i:sop/ Aegean /i:dzi ən/
Haem /hi:m/ as in haemoglobin, haemophilia. (Spelled 'hemo' in AmE)
Paediatrics /pi:d.../ (pediatrics in AmE)
UO - there are two ways that I can think of:
1. Duo is /dj'uo/ or /duo/ in AmE. that is, 2 sounds: u then o with the stress on u, duodenum.
duopoly /dju'opoli/ The stress is different here.
2. Quod is /kwod/, but you won't see that often.
Duomo (an Italian Cathedral) /dwomo/ Cuomo (an Italian name) /kwomo/
