i'd like to ask u some multiple choice questions which i had asked before but i didn't get answers. i'd like to make it clear that i'm asking this question because i was in a tst and these questions confused me when i got back home i was trying to remember the questions so i wrote them down but i'm not sure that they are exactly like how they appeard in the test . i want to know the answers in order not to repeat the same mistakes again if i have a similiar grammar question ..so here are the questions :
1 the boy can't ................doing his home work any more .
put on put up put out put off

    2 i 'm feeling hungry now. i wish i .....................food
    had brought would bring

3 take your shoes off .................the front door
    at in on

4 don't forget to take the luggage with you when you ..............
    will leave leave

i know the answers but i want to make sure ..because i'm little confused but now as i read them i think they r easy ..i'll put the answers that i think they r correct : 1 put up 2 had brought 3 at 4 leave

As you can see from the previous post, you got 3 of them right.

With the first one, had the answer been "put up", the sentence would have read "The boy can't put up WITH doing his homework any more". It's not a very good sentence but you always PUT UP WITH something, if you are doing something that you don't really enjoy but continue to do it.

The answer is PUT OFF - the boy can't delay doing his homework any more (any longer would have been better).
