    you Should say " By next December Micheal will have been living".This is called continuous future perfect ( will+ have+been+ing.form). The time expressions are essential with this tense such as " by December..,or in December... or when Jack gets ...."

    I'm confused, too. Seems like a very odd sentence.

    I'd choose 5., None of the above.
