    Default So it is actually okay to end a sentence with a prep er prepsition

    guess I've been slave to a myth according to NPR. Some gal wrote a book on gramar rules and she shared this one with the audience.

    Her logic is/was that not ending sentence with prepstion is a latin rule and English is a germantic language. Not totally sure on the germantic. Might have been something else.

    NPR stands for National Public Radio.

    Sure. Lots of English sentences end with a preposition.
    "What are you talking about?"
    "What's this thing for?"
    "She's the person I sent it to."
    "The room's been paid for."
    etc., etc.

    It's an artificial 'rule', like the one telling us not to split infinitives, that has been widely ignored since it was formulated.
