    Cool rhymes and limericks: very hard!!!

    Hi,

    Can someone help me?
    I have a difficult exercise to solve. It's about Rhymes and limericks. We have to match the two columns.

    Rhymes with:
    bread height
    choose reign
    toes chief
    hate nude
    tight bought
    full knew
    pool said
    blood deaf
    food knows
    leaf pour
    taught fool
    chef grieve
    through weight
    wore mud
    brain put
    leave wool
    foot lose

    What are your ideas? To quote someone whose name escapes me, this has not been '"tried and found wanting", but found difficult and not tried at all'.

    Use a decent dictionary, and note the IPA transcriptions. If you don't use the IPA I don't see how you can hope to learn to speak a language in which - for example - one group of written letters can make seven different sounds: cough tough though through bough thought borough (/ɔ ʌ ǝʊ u: ɑʊ ɔ: ə /). Sorry, but if you don't make an effort you won't get anywhere (at least, you won't get anywhere worth getting).
