    make up
    make something a little harder
make ends meet/ make both ends meet
    make it prevail
    make tea :)

make a fuss about/over something--as in He's making a fuss about nothing, or If you make a fuss over the small budget items, what will it be like when we discuss the big ones?

make a fuss over someone--Treat someone with excessive attention, solicitude, or affection, as in Whenever they visit their Grandma, she makes a fuss over the children.

    ;)Good day, everyone!

I shall move to the next word, but you know the drill. If you got some more on the previous words, feel free to post them.

    OK, next word is TAKE

    take advantage
    take care
    take for granted
    take into consideration
    take into account
    take part
take your time.....(I always do, hehe)
    take sides
    take breath away
    take it or leave it

Wink Re: The ways we use just one word

Hi everyone, for MAKE, I have one more expression - Make a prediction

OK,so now our word is TAKE!? Lets begin this as well!

    Take down
    Take apart
    Take notes
    Take notice of something
Take to something (e.g. It was my first day but I took to it happily!)
    Take off
    Take on
    Take out
    Take a responsibility
Take to (e.g. Have the children taken to their new teacher?)
    Take up
    Take away
    Take into account
Take in (e.g. Don't let yourself be taken in by anybody!)

If I remember more, they'll be here in no time!

    I've got some more here:

    To take pot luck
    To take something amiss
    To take one's pick
To take someone down a peg or two
    To take its toll
To take someone for a ride
    To take a hint
