    Lightbulb He speaks like anything

    Hi,

    John speaks like anything.

    Is this sentence appropriate?
(It is meant to express the thought that John is a incredible speaker or has great command over language or is an exceptional speaker)

This is a common among indian speakers of english. Will a native speaker use this expression in any scenario?

    Thanks
