    Lightbulb Counting Syllables

    Hi,

What are the various techniques to know how many syllables a word has?

And how do you break a word into syllable, how do you ascertain which consonant sound should a part of which syllable?

How do you explain the concept of syllabic consonants?

    Thanks

By counting the number of vowel sounds we can count the number of syllables.
    Is there any other technique?

Over here to the rule of the number of vowel sounds equals the number of syllables, Syllabic Consonants are an exception.
