    Default regret to, regret Ving

    Hello, teachers:
I am wondering if there is difference between "regret to" and "regret Ving".
    For example:
    1. I regret to tell you my secret.
2 I regret telling you my secret.

    May I have your clarification?
    Thanks a lot!
