    Question Shaking

    In the following sentence,is the use of shaking proper and if it is what does the writer mean: "How's things shaking for you?"

    means: how are you doing? slang

    Thank you for this answer Marylin. It may be that it is just a greeting as you say, I was wondering if it had a more distinct meaning than "How are you doing?"

    I think it's just a general greeting for "how are you doing" at the same level with some other slang greetings like : what's jumping?, what's happening?, how is it hanging?, how's your ass? and a few others I'd rather not mention here.
