    far from our thoughts?

    Hello Everyone,

What does " Home is never far from our thoughts." in the following?

......Certainly, Dave Scott, of Apollo 15, thought so. Standing onthe Moon, he voiced his thoughts to Houston: “I realise there’s a fundamental truth to our nature: man must explore.” Home is never far from our thoughts, though.......

Does it mean that we always keeps our home in our mind?

    Regards

    Sky

Yes, You have an emotional attachment with it, so where ever you may be it flashes in your mind very often in particular when you are far from it in space.

If you ask some one: Who/what is never far from one’s thoughts?
One may reply, my home and the kids, others may say my home and the pet dog

    Re: far from our thoughts?

It means that we are always thinking of our homes when we are travelling.

Not necessarily, thought is an action of the mind which manifested as combinations of thought, perception, memory, emotion, will and imagination. So a combination of thought and emotion is one which flashes often when the mind is working on other things such concentrating on work, memorizing something or imagining building of a castle in the moon etc. “It is the nature of thought to find its way into action.” is a popular saying.

You know how your mind works. It works relentlessly without stop even during deep or sound sleep when it manifested as dream. A thing which is not far from our thought appears often consciously when we are awake or unconsciously in dream .
