    Smile The position of 'unperalled'

I have a question about a English sentence:

Richard Wright enjoyed success and influence UNPARALLED among
Black American writers of his era.

I do not know why it is not correct to say including 'were' that

Richard Wright enjoyed success and influence WERE UNPARALLED
among Black American writers of his era.

And, is it correct the folllowing sentence?

Richard Wright enjoyed UNPARALLED success and influence
among Black American writers of his era.

I would be very glad if I could get your reply.

It's an adjective there, so it doesn't need the verb:

Richard Wright enjoyed success and influence WERE unparalleled
among Black American writers of his era.

Richard Wright enjoyed success and influence that/which WERE unparalleled
among Black American writers of his era.

Richard Wright enjoyed unparalleled success and influence
among Black American writers of his era.
