    Would you like = polite form of do you want

    "Would you like" would more likely be applied to specific circumstances. "Do you like" speaks more to general terms.

    • Would you like a cup of coffee?
      Do you like to have coffee in the morning?


    There is a clear difference in the way the two phrases are used.
