    Forgot a word

What is one single word for:

when people discuss something together to ensure that they are on the same level of understanding.

I used to use that word. It sounds like collaboration, but I can't remember what it is.

    Can somebody help?

    Re: Forgot a word

Calibration is a mechanical operation to ensure measurement devices are accurate. It is not used for social or interpersonal interactions.

    Re: Forgot a word

I thought calibration is just for measuring instruments or machinery. I never heard it used for communication. Is it correct to use it in this context?

Are you sure it's not concord or concordance?
