    Default pronunciation

    hi,
I am currently studying this chapter, auditory discrimination.
according to my module,in addition to being classified as voiced and voiceless, consonants are described in terms of
    a) the place where the sound is produced in the mouth region
    b) where in terms of how it is produced
then if we follow (a) and (b)...there would be much more sub classifications!!eg; stops, affricates and so on...is there any articles/web sites regarding this topic?or would u care to explain?

and the same goes with vowels
    thanks
