    Default remains & remnants

    Hello Teachers

Could you please explain what the difference is between 'remains' and remnants?
Is it a matter of collocations? I'm asking for some comments and examples.

    thanks.

Yes- we talk of 'remnants of cloth', but 'remains of a meal'and 'human remains'.

I think the messier it is, the more likely to use remains.
