REGRET + present continuous or present perfect continuous

    What is the difference between:

-> I regret telling her those bad news.

-> I regret having told her those bad news.

Thank you in advance for your answers.

    1. You told her the bad news and you feel sorry for that retrospectively or the prospect of having to tell her the news fills you with negative emotions. This sentence could mean either.

    2. Retrospectively you feel sad because you told her the news.

"News" is uncountable so it should be "that/the bad news" not "those".
