Get Jim to give the speech of welcome

Get Jim to give the speech of welcome; he's quite the best person for the job.

    A) Try to persuade Jim to give the speech of welcome: he's good at such things.
    B) Jim will give a far better speech of welcome than anyone else would; get him to do it.
    C) As he's good at things like that, why don't you get Jim to give the speech of welcome?
    D) One person who is good at speech making is Jim; ask him to do it.
    E) Jim will make as good a speech of welcome as anyone l know; see if he'll agree to do it.

    Why B, why not A?

Re: Get Jim to give the speech of welcome

    My non-professional opinion is this:

A does not contain the information that Jim is the best. "will" in B gives me the impression that it is decided that Jim will give a speech, irrespective of the persuasion.
A is the lesser of two devils.
