    Default in the right spirit

Everyone played the game in the right spirit.

What does 'in the right spirit' mean?

    Thanks!

To me, the right spirit would also mean not being very aggressive or obsessed about winning.

Can I say "with the right spirit" in place of "in the right spirit"?

Use "in the right spirit" - this way idiomatic. I do not think, however, 'with' is bad.

Can I ask native speakers if "with the right spirit" works or now?
