    Default applied, applying

    Hello everyone,

Could anyone please explain to me the construction of the following sentence

"Force-balance sensor is a load transducer which transforms force and weight to electric signal, applied the mechanism of balance scale"

why use "applied the mechanism of balance scale" why not use "applying"?

    Thank you

    1. drop the comma after 'signal'
    2. 'applied' should be 'appyling' -- (by) applying the mechanism...
