    Hi,

    What are the acceptable pronunciations of "Cabin"?

    Is it C // bin or C // bin..?

    I have heard it being used by a couple of people out here in India..

    I don't hear "ei" in cabin. However, "ei" is heard in these similar words: reagan, gagan, pagan, basin, cajun, haven, laden, nathan etc.


    It appears that "ei" is not heard before bilabial stops of two syllable nouns.

    I've never heard that form.
