    pronunciation "pat" and "pet"

    Hello, there:
I am wondering how to make "a" and "e" correctly.
For example, I don't think I can tell "pet" and "pat" clearly.
    May I have your help?

    Thanks a lot!

Lower your jaw when you say "pat". Here's how. First, place your hand under your chin and say "pet". Make sure you don't move your chin/jaw downwards. Keep it level. Now say "pat". Make sure to move your chin/jaw downwards. You should notice a difference.

You're most welcome, WUKEN. One difference between Mandarin and English is jaw movement.
