    Default Dream

Scenario: The cafe is now completed and operating.

    And I say:

    Are both of these okay?
    1. This cafe is my dream and now it has come true. (Present status? It is his dream?)
    2. This cafe was my dream and now it has come true. (In the past?)

    Thanks.

Both are correct. If opening the cafe was the dream, then the past makes sense, but if running it is still his dream, then the present is correct.
