Is the following sentence gramatically correct?
"I haven't found the clues yet."
What is the difference in meaning between the two sentences?
1.I haven't found the clues yet.
2. I haven't found out the clues yet. I don't think this sentence would be (often) said by a native speaker. "found out" has the meaning of learning/knowing something, not finding/discovering something yourself.
Generally we 'find clues', but in some circumstances you might say 'I found (or 'haven't found') outwhat the clues are.' This suggests learning from someone else what the clues are, not finding the clues yourself.
