This is a term mostly related to business transaction through bank. A business firm usually makes payment of bills of a vender/supplier through bank either by cash or check or credit card and retains a payment receipt duly certified by bank which is called remittance slip. It can also be a transfer of money by a foreign worker through bank to his home country It shows the details of payments made such as: Name of the payee, amount paid, mode of payment (cash or check) etc.

Remittance Receipts is different from Remittance Slip. It refers to foreign remittance receipts by a bank from its overseas clients mostly companies based abroad.
