    internet is on now

My internet connection broke out an hour ago so I couldn't chat with you, but now it's on and hoping it will be fine all day today.

    Is your internet on now?

Please correct the two sentences of mine.

I lost my internet connection an hour ago and so I couldn't chat with you. But now it's back up and I hope it stays up for the rest of today.

Is your internet connection up now?

The phrase 'it's back up' suggest another way of saying 'lost' - 'it went down' or even 'it crashed'.
