    Pronunciation of "ABC" and "ABA"

    Hi All,

    I'd like to know if there is pronunciation difference between "American Born Chinese" and "American Born American"....I mean if you don't see their face, can you hear the different between "ABC" and "ABA"? How come I ask this question, because I guess the body structure of ABC and ABA is different and the mouth shape and nose shape are also different, so I was wondering if their pronunciation would have different....please advise.

    Not much of difference. Sometimes when you hear southerners speak, you may mistake a white guy for a black one. Physiological structure may not play much of a role in accent; it plays a role in timbre and voice.
