    Default intonation -word stress

    Hi,

Please help me identify correct word for stress (American English.)

    1. 'They want us to be on a reality show' - should I stress 'reality' or 'show'

    2. This is my dad's house - should I stress 'dad's' or 'house'

    Thanks,

    MG.

    Default Re: intonation -word stress

    1. show
    2. house

In contrastive scenarios, you stress adjectives. In other words, intonation nucleus can't be the same.
