    I'd like to know the difference between 1 and 2.
    1. I knew I was going to marry her as soon as I saw her.
    2. I knew I was going to marry her as soon as I met her.

    If you meet somebody, you actually talk to them, shake hands, acknowledge each other.
    #1...you could have seen her cross the street/ or on the bus and you knew you were attracted to her by just looking at her.
